Kansas City

I love Kansas City. I have had the wonderful privilege to travel to many cities throughout the United States (and some other countries for that matter) and Kansas City always seems to be my favorite. Especially now. If you are not from around there or don't care very much about cities and buildings and such you probably wouldn't notice, but the city, especially the downtown is getting an amazing make over.

With buildings like this:

And I just discovered the other day that construction has begun on one of the coolest performing arts buildings ever.
This multi theater building is going to be home to a 1600 seat concert hall AND an 1800 seat proscenium theatre. Both. In the same building. With one really cool glass lobby.

Now I don't know how excited other people get about things like this, but I love architecture and I love performing arts and I love when things are done with excellence and this appears to be one of those rare times.

So now I have one more new reason to keep my love of Kansas City growing.

Huge soft spot for K.C. here too. And I love to see the arts celebrated so well.

Sweet! And I live WAY closer than you do to Kansas City. Not that I will get there any sooner, but you never know.
